STAFF VACANCY

We have a vacancy for a young, full time trainee to complement our existing small team of full and part time staff. Duties to include all aspects of work within a busy retail / growing plant nursery. Ideally you will have a good interest in plants, be fit, have good practical skills, be well organised, highly responsible, willing to learn and not afraid of hard work. You will be expected to work for 1 day at weekends and Bank Holidays on a rota basis. We carry a range exceeding 7000 varieties / species of plants from the familiar to the very rare. Our customers stem from the raw beginner to those who have a profound knowledge and enthusiasm for plants. From the humble back yard and window box to a Stately home, Botanic Garden or Royal Palaces.

This is a great opportunity learn all aspects of the retail horticultural trade and increase your plant knowledge. Kevin, our herbaceous specialist loves to share his enormous wealth of knowledge with those who, like him, have a keen interest in plants. The work is very varied, rarely dull and can be extremely satisfying to those who like to get involved and like working in an outdoor environment
